| These pages look best if you come over to my house and view them on my monitor... they're optimized for 1024x768 resolution but most look just fine (albeit a bit large) at 800x600. |

Hi there! My name is Marv Kaye. I'm 53 years young, am a self-employed travelling engineer working in the insulated glass industry (although I've been known to dabble in other areas... you'll see), and presently reside in sunny Fort Myers, Florida.
In case you're wondering about the logo, this site is going to be almost exclusively about my Lancair project. I figured if I called it a 99.9% _something_ site I'd leave myself some latitude to toss in the occasional other tidbit.

I have many interests but presently the one that seems to be consuming just about all of my time is my Lancair kitplane. Consequently for the time being this site will be devoted primarily to following along with that endeavor. As time permits I hope to be able to share some of my other avocations with you and will provide links to some of my favorite places regarding them. In the meantime, please take a look at what it's like to build an airplane, send me your comments and questions, and enjoy your journey through my site. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back soon.
Disclaimer: Please note that all comments and data regarding the building of the Lancair kitplane which is being presented herein are based upon my own personal experience and may or may not conform to building processes and recommendations provided by the factory. I'll endeavor to advise of any departures from factory recommended procedures, but make no guarantees that I'll get them all. I've been gathering data regarding the building of this kit for several years now from various sources, and will be incorporating many of the hints and tips that I've picked up along the way into the project. Any data contained herein is for educational, informational, and entertainment purposes only and not intended to be construed as a replacement for data provided in the factory manuals or prints. It is reasonable to assume that any departures from factory specified procedures have been cleared by the factory, but I make no guarantees that this will be the case 100% of the time. If you have any questions or comments about what I'm doing I'll be pleased to respond to any and all emails as time allows.
A small note.... the photos contained in this site have been compressed considerably from their original state to minimize bandwidth and maximize storage space on the servers. Higher quality scans of all pictures are available so if you'd like to see more detail on any photo used here, please feel free to contact me with your request and I'll be happy to email a copy of the uncompressed original. Even though I've used shrunken and compressed photos, this site is extremely graphically intensive and you might want to shut off the Autoload Images option on your browser before going on to the project... just be aware that you might miss a lot of the info if you don't get to see the pictures.
